Welcome to Day 3 of the Month of Mindfulness challenge!
Today, you will be exploring a brief mindfulness meditation. While the full video is 7 minutes, the practice is only about 5 minutes in length. Starting with shorter practices is a great way to slowly start to build up the concentration and comfortability in the body.
The purpose of this video is to pause, press ‘reset’, and tap into your internal space of calm. This place exists within us all! However, to do this, you must become aware of the breath, the rest of the body, the mind, as well as the present moment.
This meditation left me feeling so refreshed and peaceful. Perfect for a midday pick-me-up or an early morning meditation.
Becoming acquainted with your personal place of internal calm is such a powerful practice. This sort of exercise is ideal for cultivating more thoughtful responses and actions. When you are able to tap into this space of peace within yourself, you are able to make level-headed decisions and respond appropriately to life situations as they are happening.
