Month of Mindfulness: Day 6

For day 6 of the Month of Mindfulness challenge, you’ll be exploring a full body scan and relaxation meditation. This practice cultivates a strong sense of bodily awareness in a short amount of time; the duration of this meditation is 6 minutes. As this is a visual meditation, you may feel free to keep your eyes open or close the eyes and simply use your imaginative mind power!

You can enjoy this mediation either lying down or seated. Remember to cushion your seat for support if necessary.

I personally love body scan meditations and use them often in my yoga classes. They are a fantastic way to connect with the body and bring awareness to every nook and cranny of your being. When you offer your fullest attention and all of your energy to your body, the mind becomes still as a result. It’s a very relaxing practice, enjoyed either first thing in the morning or after a long day of work.

From the crown of your head, to the soles of your feet, you will experience full body release and connection. Enjoy!

Thank you for taking part in the Month of Mindfulness challenge!
