I apologize that this comes a few days later than anticipated. My life has been a blur of excitement and obligation, and I apologize for the delay!
But…. here it is!
Day 20 of the challenge is… a little different. While technically a form of meditation, today you will be exploring the practice of Qi Gong. Qi Gong is a form of mindfulness training but it is an active practice, composed of slow, steady movements, focused breath, and intentional observance of the energetic body. There is a lot of ground to cover when it comes to Qi Gong, from the elements of nature, to the meridians of the body, to the power of the breath…
So, naturally, you’ll start with a simple, standing meditation. Very basic! No complicated movements or postures. In fact, the exercise is very gentle and relaxing. Suitable for most every body (unless you have trouble standing). This practice is 8 minutes long.
While I am not an expert on the subject, I personally love practicing Qi Gong and wish to further my knowledge and experience of it. If you enjoy today’s exercise, then you should consider adding a short practice to your day or even taking up a weekly Qi Gong class at a local studio.
Thank you for participating in the Month of Mindfulness challenge!
